"Love
& Peace" Concert
SANUR
Mercure Sanur Resort Bali in
co-operation with Primavera EO and
Radio CDBS carried out a disabled
children concert. The program entitled
Say, Love & Peace
took part on Friday (24/3) at the
Mercure Sanur Resort. "The aim
of this concert is to introduce classic
music to all generations," uttered
Bambang from Primavera EO. The concert
presented three classic music vocalists
from Indonesia Kriswanti (soprano),
Pola Martiana (soprano) and Albert
Wisnhu (tenor). Each vocalist performed
solo and accompanied on the piano
by Job Rusli. Half of ticket sales
revenues will be donated to the "Yayasan
Kemanusiaan Ibu Pertiwi" (YKIP).
According to the General Manager Mercure
Resort Sanur, Philippe Battle, classical
music has the power to recover memories
of the past and gives a new hope for

A Coral Plantation

Heads & Staffs Quiz
KUTA
- As part of the activities of the
16th Anniversary of Discovery Kartika
Plaza Hotel & Villas, the Management
and Staff conducted a Department Heads
& Staffs Quiz on Thursday,
9th March, in one of the hotels
meeting rooms. The event was attended
by the representatives from all departments,
including the department heads and
assistant department heads. One of
the jurors in this contest was the
Executive Assistant Manager
Mr. I Nyoman Astama. The winners of
this contest was the group from Front
Office Mr. Ronie Setiawan,
Ms. Ida Ayu Trisna, Mr. Febri Wildani.
The target of this contest is to maintain
and increase a higher level of knowledge
about the hotel the service
quality, the facilities including
the general knowledge that a hotelier,
especially an employee of Discovery
Kartika Plaza Hotel & Villas,

Donation
for Poor People
KARANGASEM
in order to help the poor people
in Bali, Yayasan Peduli Bali (Bali
Care Foundation - PBF) from Perth,
Australia Wednesday (15/3) made a
visit to Seraya, Karangasem. The donation
was given directly to the elders and
poor students. It contained items
such as daily needs, school equipments,
and also scholarship for those who
have good perspectives. The visit
was organized by BIWA Tours &
Travel and accompanied by the General
Manager Inna Grand Bali Beach Hotel,

Balinese
Dance Course
KUTA
On March 21, Hotel Santika
Beach Bali hosted a final test of
a Balinese dance course at the Sunset
Beach Front Restaurant. After the
one-year course, more than thirty
kids joined the Balinese dance course,
dressed up like professional dancers
and showed their talents. Accompanied
by a group of gamelan (Balinese orchestra)
from Kuta village, 5 kinds of dances
have been tested such as Puspanjali,
Oleg Tamulilingan, Baris Tunggal,
Wirayuda and Legong Keraton. Many
hotel guests were very enthusiastic
to see their performances and some
of them gave their point as a jury
member. The purpose of this activity
is to give a chance for kids, especially
from Kuta village, to learn the Balinese
dance and also to support Balis
Cultural Tourism concept. Seen in
