Seafood
Galore Jimbaran Style
Sanur
Hotel Sanur Beach launched its very
own Jimbaran style seafood restaurant
on the beach. A succulent seafood feast
has become a synonymous part of every holiday
in Bali. So in an attempt to anticipate
current dining needs, the hotel has taken
the initiative to recreate the experience
in Sanur for guests to enjoy this famous
fresh seafood BBQ ritual.
Tirta
Seafood Restaurant features the very best
catch of the day seafood, including a selection
of snapper, barracuda, garupa, prawns, squid
and clams that is displayed over crushed
ice for guests to choose from. Operated
like a miniature marketplace, all items
are sold on weight basis for a reasonable
price of just IDR15,000- per 100grams. Once
seated, guests will receive bowls of salted
peanuts and crackers to accompany their
pre-dinner drinks. This is shortly followed
by a tasty appetizer of Balinese fish soup
in a subtle clear broth. Every seafood meal
is grilled to perfection over a coconut
husk BBQ and served with steamed white rice,
traditional water spinach known locally
as kang-kung and an array of spicy condiments
to complement the overall meal. General
Manager of Hotel Sanur Beach, Mr. Christoph
Vogeli comments; "Guests of every nationality
are always eager to sample the popular Bali
seafood BBQ. So we have created our very
own seafood outlet on the hotel beachfront
to eliminate the need to travel 50-minutes
to Jimbaran Bay. The tourist-friendly walkway
that stretches the entire length of Sanur
beach also means that guests from other
properties can easily access Tirta Seafood
Restaurant. I am extremely proud of our
latest Jimbaran style seafood
venture as it is the very first of its kind
in this area. Although I am probably biased,
I personally think that Sanur has one of
the nicest beaches in Bali as it is the
ideal destination for families, honeymooners
and mature travellers." Tirta Seafood
Restaurant is open every evening for casual
dining under the stars with an ocean backdrop
caressing the shoreline and refreshing tropical
breeze cooling down the surrounding environment.
