The romantic dance, with attractive

carried out 3 classical dances like
"Gabor, Legong Goak Macok and

| Book
Fair 2006
DENPASAR
– About 2000 kinds of books
(science, social, political till cultural)
are exhibited on the "book fair
2006" at Museum Sidik Jari, Denpasar.
According to Mr. Ngurah Gede Pemecutan,
the owner of Museum, the exhibition
aimes to make the museum more popular
within the society and not only for
tourists. It is important because
in the mind of our society, a Museum
is not an attractive place to visit.
In addition the exhibition, held in
co-operation between Museum Sidik
Jari and a bookstore, also aimes to
make Denpasar a Cultural city. This
can be realized through reading and
good education. The two months exhibition
that was opened on 28 August also
shows several activities like discussions,
meetings with the authors, presentations,
etc. (BTN/Rai)

Great
Nice View
NUSA
PENIDA – Nusa Penida, a small
island, South East of Bali and part
of the Regency of Klungkung, is not
only popular for its marine tourism
attractions, but also has great, nice
panoramas. Next to the Banah Temple
in Batumadeg Village, in the south
western part of Nusa Penida, there
is a scenic view of the blue ocean
and the cliff like shown on this photo.
It should be unforgettable for anybody
to experience such a nice view. How
to get there? You just take the boat
from Padangbai harbour, about one
hour to the east of Denpasar, and
it is takes you about half an hour
to get to Buyuk harbour in Nusa Penida
Island. When you arrive in Buyuk,
you can hire a public transport, either
a "bemo" or a motor cycle.
Bring a map of Bali or just get the
local guide to take you to this nice
destination. Let’s go to Nusa
Penida. (BTN/028)
