Closing of The Nusa Dua Festival X

Execution of the 10th Festival Nusa Dua (FND) 2006 transpired joyously for five days (1-5 September) at BTDC tourist resort, Nusa Dua. Other than the local community, many foreign tourists also watched the event together with the locals. Numerous activities and competitions held during the festival, drew sprightly attention of the visitors.

Having held several kinds of art performances, the tenth FND was officially closed by the Regent of Badung, Agung Gede Agung, marked with the re-inserting of the "kris" dagger into its holster. Previously, the regent presented the prizes and certificates to the winners of the competition.
Winners of Peed Agung parade went to Melia Bali Resort & Spa (1st winner), while the runners-up consisted of the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa (2nd), Grand Hyatt Bali (3rd), Ayodya Resort Bali (4th) and Hotel Inna Putri Bali (5th) and Club Med Bali (6th). Bonsai Contest was won by I Made Yasa, Tabanan (the 1st), A.A. NGR Jayendra SH, Denpasar (2nd) and I Ketut Wenten, Karangasem (3rd). Then, for the Adenium Contest, the first winner went to I Made Antara, Denpasar, I Gusti A Swastika, Tabanan (2nd) and Sugeng Suyanto, Denpasar (3rd).
Weaving Contest was won by Koman Sriani (1st winner), Ni Ketut Midep (2nd) and Ni Nyoman Sunarti (3rd). The best exhibition booth was achieved by the Government of Pamekasan Regency, Madura; while the runners-up were Government Tourist Office of East Kutai, East Kalimantan (2nd), Government Tourist Office of West Lombok Regency (3rd), Regional Handicraft Council of North Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan (4th) and Office for Culture and Tourism of Central Sulawesi (5th).
In the meantime, the booth of the Office for Culture and Tourism of Magelang Regency was elected the most creative booth; that of Sumedang Regency the most attractive; the Office of Industry, Commerce and Cooperative of Blora Regency the most productive and Government Tourist Office of the Greater Jakarta the best winner.
