Ana
I Love The Beach
Sunbathing
on the white sand beach. It was a response
revealed by this tourist from Brazil. "When
I first came to Bali, the first thing to
do was sunbathing on the beach. I do like
beach and everything associated with it,"
said this young woman when met at Kuta Beach.
According to this woman who is studying
in Australia, her reason to come Bali is
to look for a holiday destination close
to Australia. "I choose Bali, because
other than being in close proximity to Australia,
here also lies an appropriate beach for
sunbathing and relaxing," Ana explained.
This Brazilian woman admitted that she came
to Bali with her friend and spent holiday
here for a week. "For the time being,
I am enjoying the heat of the sun. I like
this very much. Do you know why I like summer?
Because, I really hate it when the winter
comes. Wherever we go, my thick mantle is
never put off. I do not like it as it will
make me look obese," she said as if
she was not willing to be disturbed when
her body shined by heat of the sun.
According to the girl having the e-mail
address at a_militello@hotmail.com, Bali
was a wonderful place, however it retained
scattered rubbish in every nook and cranny,
chiefly along the beach and road.
Lauriane
Famous for Surfing
When
meeting her at the fringe of Kuta Beach,
this French girl was absorbed in watching
others that were surfing. She came to Bali
together with her boyfriend and confessed
that she liked such water sport. On that
account, she made her time to make a visit
to some other regions in Indonesia, chiefly
those having huge waves.
On asking about why they choose Bali for
surfing site, while smiling: "Who doesn’t
know Bali? Even, the name of Bali is better
known than Indonesia," she replied
while adding that beaches existing in Bali
were good for surfing.
"I’m still a beginner in surfing.
But my boyfriend has been a defending champion
and he really loves the waves here,"
said the girl who has e-mail address at
lauriane_adrados@yahoo.com while adding
that during their four-month holiday they
have visited Java and Lombok. However, Bali
remains the best for them. "It’s
the first time we make a trip to Bali; in
fact there are many attractive things to
see here. For instance, I see women presenting
small oblations in front of their house
or street every morning. To me, it’s
immensely fascinating," revealed the
girl who has a profession as a teacher.
Mira
Just Like My Home Village
Bali
is just like my home village!" It’s
the expression told by Mira on visiting
Kuta Beach. At that time, she was absorbed
taking care of her children who are playing
with sand. "I’ve known Bali since
my childhood," she uttered while adding,"
The beach is my favourite place. I like
the activity such as water sports comprising
the surfing and sunbathing to blacken my
skin," said this tourist from Jakarta.
In her opinion, Bali is a suitable place
for holiday as its price is affordable so
she can have fun on the island. "I
don’t like mountain areas so much.
On the contrary, the beach ambience will
make my children undertake more activities
like surfing that also comes in my favourite,"
said the woman who lives at Jalan Bangka
VII No. 7, Kemang Jakarta.

Quiet Place for Yoga
Though
some people regard Kuta as a noisy place
along with its nightlife activities and
echoing live music but this beautiful girl
does not think so. In the midst of hustle
and bustle of Kuta, this girl from England
even practices Yoga.
Yoga can be probably said to be a rare activity
held in Kuta. But for Jess, her intimate
nickname, it’s not a bizarre thing.
"During my three-day holiday in Bali
(20-23/9), I practice yoga every day on
the beach," she replied calmly.
According to her, Kuta Beach is a tranquil
beach to practice yoga. "I feel overly
comfortable to practice yoga here, starting
from the time to close the eyes and sit
serenely on the beach sand; I feel that
much good energy penetrates into my body.
Melodious voice of waves makes me enjoy
it very much," told the woman having
the e-mail address at jess.keefe@rocstudent.com.
To Jess Keefe, learning yoga is the best
way to reach healthy living, either physical
or mentally. On that account, she greatly
likes the life of Hindu community in Bali.
They are religious people and it’s
exceptionally intriguing for her.
Other than Bali, she has also visited some
countries like India, Thailand, Cambodia,
Vietnam and Malaysia. "India is a unique
place to visit. Nevertheless, when being
asked about where to go next for the holiday,
so Bali will become my priority choice,"
Jess observed.
Another important thing is that she likes
Balinese food such as mixed rice and meat
balls. "Every day, I always make my
time to savour meat balls and its Bali coffee,"
she added. (Photos and texts by Rai)
