Le Meridien Hotel Jakarta: Partner of Garuda Indonesia

The airline company Garuda Indonesia has some subsidiary companies ranging from catering service, maintenance facility, training centre to hotel accommodation. As soon as we arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport that noon, we were taken to visit a number of Garuda’s facilities at the complex of Cengkareng Airport (Jakarta).

Rommenced by the visit to Aero Catering Service (ACS), the media group from Bali was allowed to have a closer look at the process of preparing food and beverages that would be served aboard. From the selection and storage of ingredients, method of cooking, packaging and delivery to the aircraft were obviously discernible there.
Subsequently, the group observed the aircraft maintenance. Should there be any aircrafts need mending, it is here at the most spacious chamber throughout Asia, were it takes place. At its courtyard, there are many aircrafts being parked. Except for Garuda, there were also other foreign aircrafts under repair.
Prior to departing to the hotel, the group had an opportunity to talk with Pujobroto, Chief of Communication, Garuda Indonesia (Jakarta). The group was chaired by Hary Manopo and eventually checked-in at Hotel Le Meridien Jakarta at 21.00 West Indonesian Standard Time. In fact, this luxurious hotel is one of the working partners of Garuda Indonesia.
Hotel Le Meridien is situated right in the heart of Jakarta, at Jalan Jendral Sudirman Kav. 18-20. It is only a 45 minutes drive from Soekarno-Hatta Airport and 10 minutes from the Jakarta International Convention Centre. "Additionally, there are newspapers provided on complimentary basis," she explained on accompanying the journalist group from Bali.
Another uniqueness of this hotel is The Rumah Kudus Penthouse. It is a traditional Javanese palace house made of hand-carved Javanese teakwood and occupies two top floors of the tower. Even though this penthouse is a historical masterpiece, it has been carefully designed in modern hi-tech equipment. The Rumah Kudus is one of the most unique penthouses in Indonesia.

Ani Nasution, Travel & Trade Sales Executive of Le Meridien Jakarta added that other than the facilities mentioned above, the hotel guests are also provided with facilities like restaurants and bars. There are five restaurants serving a wide choice of food from around the globe. Amongst them are Ryoutei AOI Restaurant (Japanese food), Al Nafoura Restaurant (typically Lebanese food), Lemon Grass Restaurant (Thai food) and La Brassiere Restaurant (international or European food) and for those who are fond of having dinner with musical accompaniment can join the Tiga Puluh Music Bar & Lounge.
