Perada and Dewa Lounge
Garuda’s Partner to Serve Businesspeople

Are you a businessman? Then you are precisely correct if you opt for Garuda Indonesia for your convenient air travel because this state-owned company is not only just a regular airline company. It has a number of facilities that are capable of supporting your business trips. It was shown to the journalist of Bali Travel News, Nyoman Budarsana, who along with other colleagues made a site inspection to some facilities owned by Garuda, either in Bali or Jakarta.

It was really a summery and hot afternoon. However, when stepping down at the Ngurah Rai Bali International Airport, the ambience changed gradually. It was genuinely cool and convenient. Other passengers from several countries looked so intimate to one another. A feeling of pure serenity naturally could easily be observed emanating from their appearance.
Prior to flying to Jakarta, the group led by Harry Manopo, arrived at the airport at 10.30 am. They did not go directly to the aircraft, but dropped first into the Garuda International Executive Lounge Denpasar. There were two lounges to chose from, namely the Perada Lounge and Dewa Lounge. Both are the working partners of Garuda functioning as a place to rest & relax at the second floor, precisely in front of the international arrival terminal.
Prada Lounge provides maintenance area, massages, and food & beverages. Other than being equipped with toilets and showers, it also provides free local telephone, internet services and other business facilities. Here, you are assured that you can rest & relax, as this room is situated away from the hustle and bustle of the airport visitors. Its location is on the lower floor that is isolated from other visitors.
According to Ketut Suarsana, the Manager of the Prada Lounge, most visitors are businesspeople. However, his party does not want to prohibit its Lounge for passengers of other airlines. For passengers of Garuda’s ‘business class’ the facility and services are free of charge, as it has been included in the price of their ticket. However, other visitors will be charged IDR 100,000 per person. "For just such a small amount, you can enjoy the facility like other businessmen do," Suarsana said.
Remarked, the average of daily visits reaches 160 persons. Amongst this number, 98% are foreigners and the rest are domestic visitors. New customers will be served by pick up service from the entrance of the airport, while the regular visitors will go there directly. The busiest visiting hours at the Prada Lounge start from 13.00 up to late night. "Prada Lounge is a working partner of Garuda having a management of its own," he added.
If you walk a few meters to the east, you will enter the area of another working partner namely the Dewa Lounge. Both are intended as a relaxing place while waiting for departure. Facilities on offer are nearly the same, too. With a 60 seat capacity, Dewa Lounge provides facilities like internet access, five-minute massage service for free, local telephone and so forth. The difference lies in the fact that it has three floors with an amazing view. From the second and third floor, you will be able to see the aircraft taking off and landing. Visions of the verdant view of the Jimbaran Hill and the cobalt blue color of the sea water will assuredly neutralize your tension.
The number of visitors to Dewa Lounge is still unstable and it highly depends on the arrival and departure of flights. "Within a day, there are some 50 to 60 guests coming by. This waiting room will be busier from 12.00 up to midnight," said an attendant of Dewa Lounge. (BTN/*)
