Bali Garden Hotel
Surf Board Rescue
Bali
Garden Hotel has acquired a surf rescue
board and tube to help make Kuta beach a
safer place to swim. Bali Garden Hotel has
been a long standing supporter of Bali Surf
Lifesaving Club, which has providing the
First Aid Training Program of Cardiso Pulmonary
Resuscitation/CPR technique for beachfront
staff of Bali Garden Hotel.
"As we have a very nice beach which
has a direct access to Kuta Beach, it is
very necessary for our employees to have
that skill and they would be able to perform
rescues, to resuscitate and give first aid
in the future. This facility of surfboard
could be used as well by Bali Surf Lifesaving
Club for rescue activities. We thank the
Cottesloe Surf Lifesaving Club Perth, which
has been able to bring it over to Bali,
and provide us with 2 surfboards. With more
domestic and European tourists visiting
Bali and Australian families expected over
the Christmas school holidays, it is important
to make the beach as safe as possible,’’
said Adrian Forsyth, General Manager of
Bali Garden Hotel.
The rescue equipment is of the latest international
standard and was acquired with assistance
from and in conjunction with the Cottesloe
Surf Lifesaving Club in Perth. Jean Burling,
the Director for Surf Lifesaving in Western
Australia and her team of International
Lifesavers have been assisting and coordinating
with local teams to improve them with high
qualification standard of rescues and resuscitation.
To announce the program with employees,
the paddle surf competition is held at Kuta
Beach on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 16.30
pm with cash prizes for winner. (BTN/*)
