100 Children Clean Up Their Neighborhood

DUA - In conjunction with the "Clean
Up the World" weekend celebration,
Nikko Bali Resort & Spa organized
a beach cleaning on Tuesday, 26th
September 2006. More than 100 people
from the local elementary school
children, Sekolah Dasar Negeri No.2
Benoa – Sawangan, as well
as the management and employees
of the hotel actively participated
in the clean up drive which covered
the Geger Beach area at the southern
part of Nusa Dua, Bali. Large amounts
of discarded plastic materials,
cans and bottles were cleared along
the beach area. The annual event
re-emphasized the need of awareness
among the local community of the
importance of a consistently clean
environment that also augurs well
for the tourism industry. The 2006
Clean up the World weekend is a
fitting obligation for all communities
worldwide to protect and preserve
the earth for the sake of mankind.

"Tawur"
Holy Sacrifice
KINTAMANI
–A "Tawur" ceremony
(holy sacrifice) named Panca Wali
Krama, was held Thursday (4/10)
at Hulun Danu Batur Temple, Songan
Village – Kintamani. The ceremony
was lead by 13 priests. Seen in
the picture is the ritual procession

Anniversary
KUTA
- Legian Paradiso Hotel was celebrating
its "12th Anniversary"
on 9th October 2006. The entertainment
program included Balinese Dances
and a Lucky Draw. It was held to
create a harmonic and good relationship
between the management and staff.

the staff from the kitchen department
won the grand prize: 1 unit of Flat

- During the fasting month "Ramadhan"
, Kuta Paradiso Hotel represented
by Human Resources Manager, Mr.
Adi Putra and Guest Activities Coordinator,
Mr. Darma Suyasa visited Muslim
Orphanage – Al Islam Hidayatullah
in Pemogan, Denpasar. A total of
60 children are currently staying
at the place. As shown in the picture,
Mr. Adi handed out the school stationeries
to the head coordinator, Mr. Abdullah

Media Trip
SEMINYAK
– The Oberoi Bali and The Oberoi
Lombok were hosting a France media
"fam" trip very recently
in cooperation with Directors of Air
France and Singapore Airlines. Invited
media were from Le Monde, Jasmin,
Monsieur, Gamma, Luxe Magazine and
Le Quotidien du Medecin. During the
one week visit in Indonesia, a comprehensive
itinerary had been prepared which
enabled the journalists to explore
the beauty of Bali and Lombok islands
in total luxury. Seen in the picture

of Sales of Oberoi Resorts Indonesia

| Starting
the Journey
NUSA
DUA - Four baby turtles has been released
into the sea. The release took place
at Meliá Bali Villas &
Spa Resort beach front, this morning.
At 2 months old, the four turtles
were considered ready to start their
journey at their natural habitat,
the ocean. Growing up at turtle conservation,
the turtles usually stay until a few
months old until they are ready to
be released into the sea. As the foster
parents of some turtles at the conservation,
Meliá Bali Villas & Spa
Resort initiated to release the turtles
periodically. Requested by its regular
guest, Mr. Poetranto and family, Meliá
Bali team prepared the turtle release
at the beach front, in the morning.
Released by the Poetranto family and
Meliá Bali General Manager,
Mr. Alfonso Romero, some guests who
happened to be at the beach were watching
the wonderful event. After releasing
the turtles, everyone was enjoying
