"Warmest Congratulations"
In
a time that many newspapers and magazines
come, but also quickly disappear, I admire
the fact that Bali Travel News not only
managed to survive all hardships during
the complex crises, but continues to grow
and improve for now already 8 years. This
is truly a great accomplishment and I sincerely
hope that Bali Travel News will remain to
be an informative and inspirational media
publication. It is not only in demand by
the visitors of Bali, its expatriates and
the many website viewers worldwide, but
it is of the greatest value for the local
community. It offers them the unique platform
to communicate in English with the global
community. Keep up the good work! Happy
8th Anniversary on December 4, 2006 and
Cheers!

March 2007, Air Paradise Scheduled to Fly
Again
Having discontinued for more than a year
since November 2005, the airline company
Air Paradise International (API) is scheduled
to spread its wings again in the upcoming
March 2007.
So was declared by Director of API Ir. Putu
Oka Semadi, last Monday (13/11). At least,
there were several considerations under
laying such decision. Firstly, it was on
account of moral responsibility of API as
one of the tourism businesspeople in Bali
to work better for Bali. Secondly, the response
of international community towards Bali
as one of the best tourist destinations
in Indonesia remained high. And the third,
Oka said, in terms of financial consideration,
Air Paradise has indeed been feasible to
operate again serving the former routes.
"API remains to exist," Oka stated
firmly. Concerning with license, it stayed
in the hand of API as its weekly progress
report was sent regularly to the Directorate
General of Air Transportation.

firmly. Concerning with license, it stayed

General of Air Transportation.
Nevertheless, Oka uttered, his party remained
to open the door widely to any party, primarily
to Balinese generation to work with API.
"We are assuredly unable to expand
the Air Paradise by ourselves. It needs
moral drive and financial assistance to
make the Air Paradise really the property
of the Balinese," he admitted.
For that purpose, as the tagline of API
saying "Bali is Our Home", his
party asked for the moral support and prayers
of all parties in order everything would
be okay. Also declared, the schedule of
re-flying in the upcoming March 2007 was
enthusiastically welcomed by the circles
of wholesalers in Australia, Japan as well
as Korea. "Their response is excellent,"
he observed.
API also besought all components of the
community to help one another developing
the tourism of Bali. Bali Recovery Programme
campaigned during this time by government
should be made a success by all parties
in compliance of their own capacity. "Other
than serving international routes, we also
open domestic routes to Jakarta and Surabaya,"
said Oka while adding that the aircraft
operated will be the wide bodied-Boeing.
Formerly, Oka added, his party received
a letter from Bali Rasa Sayang, a tourism
committee of Bali particularly targeting
Japanese market in order the Air Paradise
examined the current condition of Bali.
As written on the letter signed by Chairperson
of Bali Rasa Sayang, Makiko Iskandar, they
were so sorry that Garuda reduced its flight
frequency for the route Denpasar-Osaka-Denpasar
and discontinued another route Denpasar-Nagoya-Denpasar.
Similar decision was also taken by Garuda
for the route Denpasar-Fukuoka-Denpasar.
"Let’s recover Bali thoroughly
and correctly in accordance with our capability.
We need moral support of the Balinese community,"
added Oka. (BTN/pal)
