we will describe yoga for health number
19-21, so keep staying for practice to harmony
your body and soul.
19. CHAKRASANA (SIDE BENDING)
Stand
erect with legs together, toes together,
hands by the side of the thighs, look in
front. Slowly raise your one hand from the
side and bring it parallel to your shoulder,
hands straight. Palms facing down ward in
the same position turn the palm towards
uprising your hands up ward and let the
arms touch the ear. Fingers will point towards
sky; now start bending laterally towards
the left side. Keep the arm by the side
of the head. Maintain the final position
and slowly come back.
Benefits-It is good to strengthen side muscles.
20.
TADASANA
Stand erect, bring the hands up straight
towards sky, fingers pointing upward, now
slowly raise your heels and stand on toes.
Raise heels as much as possible stretch
body up as much as possible. Now slowly
come back and bring your heels on the ground.
Benefits- this improves height and spine
becomes flexible.
21.
VRIKSHASANA(TREE POSE)
Stand
erect with legs together, hands by the side
of the thighs gage in front fold your right
leg at the knee and place the sole near
the left thigh joint. Bring both the hands
in Namaskar Mudra. After maintaining it
for sometime, come back to the original
position.
Benefits- this improves body-mind co-ordination.
Thigh and calf muscles are made strong.
Thousands Participate in BTN Fun Bike
Sunday
(12/11), at 06.00 AM, the BTN (Bali Travel
News) Fun Bike was held. The event was held
in conjunction of the 8th anniversary of
BTN, on 4 December. The bike rally was participated
by the Chairman of Bali Post Media Group,
Mr. Satria Naradha and 350 participants
followed him. The start held at Pasar Oleh-Oleh
Bali, Jalan Raya Kuta No. 88 Kuta through
Kediri, Kartika Plaza, Kuta Square, Pantai
Kuta, Melasti, Majapahit, Patih Jelantik,
Legian, Blambangan streets and finished
at Pasar Oleh-Oleh Bali.
The participants looked very enthusiastic
to join the fun bike. The participants came
from a number of bike clubs in Bali like
Club Sepeda Tua Sanur, Club Sepeda Sesetan,
Club Sepeda Blahbatuh – Gianyar, 25
from Tourism Police and Club Sepeda Bali
Wisata.
While relaxing their muscles after the rally,
the participants received many door prices
and grand price return ticket Denpasar –
Surabaya – Denpasar, cash money 1
Million from BTN and a bicycle from Planet

Participants Taking Part in Cycle Rally
350
participants of cycle clubs in Badung Regency,
Gianyar, Tabanan and Denpasar took part
in a bike rally entitled "Subak the
Mother of Balinese Culture, Save and Stop
the Function Transfer of Rice field"
held by Satak Cycle Club Denpasar, Sunday
(5/11). Such rally that was participated
by Panjer Club, Braban Club, Bab MC, Jimbaran
Klinik and McDonald Club, Marga and Sukawati
Club and was released by the Hamlet Chief
of Kayumas Kaja.
Participants of the rally covered the distance
of some 25 km and took the route of paved
roads and partly at rice field areas. The
start was performed in front of the meeting
hall of Kayumas Kaja and headed to Jalan
Surapati, Jalan Kapten Agung, northwards
passed through the Catur Muka statue, then
eastward to Jalan Patimura, Jalan Suli,
Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jalan Seroja and northwards
till Jalan Cekomaria. From here, it then
straightforwardly explored the Subak Kedua,
Subak Duaji, Subak Saradan and Subak Anggabaya.
Afterwards, it departed to Jalan Trenggana,
Jalan Trengguli, Pengerebongan and right
southwards to Jalan Supratman, Jalan Kamboja,
Jalan Melati and arrived at the finish line
in front of the meeting hall.
On entering the rice field area, the participants
were welcomed by local farmers and voluntary
guards. Then, participants got an opportunity
to have a break for a while at the Dharma
Jati orphanage at Penatih to undertake social
activity while delivering gift brought along
by each participant in the form of instant
noodle, soap and tooth paste.
Chairman of the Committee of the Cycle Rally,
Ketut Karnayasa said that such a relaxing
activity was meant to campaign the preservation
of Balinese culture to achieve the sustainable
Bali. In the meantime, the Head of Satak
Cycle Club I Dewa Made Merthakota admitted
that what has been performed could become
the milestone of the advent of people’s
spirit in bike riding and at the same time
supporting the programme of Denpasar Municipality
to reduce the traffic jam and air pollution.
One of the participants involved in this
event were the Mayor of Denpasar A.A. Puspayoga
and his vice I.B. Dharma Wijaya with their
