Creating
Working Relationship Harmonization
The Independent Labour
Union (SPM) of Bali Hyatt celebrated its
second anniversary at the Rinjani Hall,
Bali Hyatt, Sanur on last Tuesday evening
(21/11). This celebration was the culmination
of a series of activities held previously,
such as clean up service around the hotel
(18/11), prayers en masse of each religion
(18-20/11) and donation presentation amounting
to IDR 500,000 to the Bale Agung Temple,
Intaran Customary Village.
Celebration
of this second anniversary was attended
by Chief of the Regional Committee, Federation
of the Independent Labour Union of Bali
Chapter, Vice President of the Independent
Labour Union for East Region, General Manager
of the hotel, representatives of Denpasar
Manpower Services, representatives of SPM
from several hotels in Bali, administrators
and members of the SPM of Bali Hyatt and
some other invitees.
Chief of SPM of Bali Hyatt, Mr. A.A. Ketut
Arya, emphasized the importance of establishing
harmonious working relationships between
the employees and the hotel management.
"This harmonious working relationship
will come into reality when we have organized
mutual understanding, appreciation and assistance
as well as needing each other on every single
outlet or department so the endeavour to
provide the best services to guests can
be realized," he uttered.
Also stated, the welfare of employees needs
a constant struggle, because by the realization
of employees’ prosperity, the best
services extended to guests could be well
maintained. On that account, in the years
to come the SPM of Bali Hyatt, comprising
467 members, was expected to become a bipartite
bridge of communication between the employees
and management based on the win-win solution
principle.
Having the same opinion as Mr. Arya, the
General Manager of Bali Hyatt – Mr.
Stephen Radcliffe- expected that all parties
could keep up the harmony in existence in
providing services to all guests. In addition,
in the effort of providing the best possible
services to guests, diligence and professional
attitude of all hotel employees were a momentous
aspect that needed improving persistently.
Because by doing so every single guest staying
at Bali Hyatt would feel satisfied and come
again to this hotel in the future. This
means that the hotel revenue would increase
and in return enhance the welfare of the
employees of Bali Hyatt itself. (BTN/tar)
