Painter Jelantik “Replenished” the Bharata Museum, Klungkung

Painter Ida Bagus Putu Jelantik is from the region of arts, Gianyar. He is reasonably creative and exhibited his works at Bharata Gallery or Museum situated right at the western frontier of Semarapura city, Klungkung.

Jelantik, a Sukawati-born man is indeed from a family of artists. At his home village he keeps many of his painting works. In Klungkung, except for the works by Jelantik, there are also some other works by senior painters like the late I Gusti Made Deblog, Dewa Mokoh, I Nyoman Mandra, Dewa Batuan and so forth.
Paintings on show at the museum / gallery are well arranged. Its composition is arrayed in such a way by Ida Bagus Somya, the owner of the gallery. For instance, the paintings of artists who have made a name for themselves, whether they have passed away or are still in the land of the living, are placed in the museum. Meanwhile, those of other senior or junior that will be on sale, are put on show in the gallery.
Several kinds of painting and sculpturing styles are exhibited in this gallery. Even, the painter Jelantik on being met by Bali Travel News at the painting studio of Bharata Gallery looked busy at completing his large size painting. It was painted in Balinese classical style that is better known as Batuan style. “Painting by acrylic paint on canvas is moderately complicated,” he said. (BTN/Yan Beryas)
