The 58th Anniversary of Garuda Indonesia

DENPASAR- The 58th of Garuda Indonesia airlines was commemorated by its Denpasar – Bali Office with several activities, such as blood donations and sport (table tennis and chess games). The blood donations took place in co-operation with the Bali branch of the Indonesian Red Cross and it was donated to the Sanglah hospital in Denpasar. The general manager of Garuda Indonesia – Bali branch, Mr. Uun Setiawan, who also donated blood, said that this social activity would be carried out periodically. (BTN/014)

It has proven that beneath of the Resort is well known for the way it looks after the family market.

TEMPLE ANNIVERSARY

DENPASAR – The temple of Griya Tanah Kilap at Gelogor Carik, the customary village of Pemogan in Denpasar municipality celebrates its own anniversary once in every six month (210 days), which falls on Aggara Kasih Tambir in accordance with the Balinese calendar. The latest temple festival felt on Tuesday, 23 January, 2007. During the four days festival, all shrines were wrapped with colorful cloths, especially the statue of guardians were clod in chest board cloths locally known as “Poleng”.Penjor – decorated bamboo pole banners and umbrella decorated the temple yard. Wearing traditional costumes, the Balinese went to the temple to pray with offering. The musicians played Balinese orchestra in the pavilion and the Balinese dances were performed at night. Located above the south west tip of Denpasar and overboo-king Badung river, it looks beautiful. At dusk, there were hundreds of heron flying in colorful sky-they were going home to their habitat – the mangrove sanctuary nearby.(BTN/Lanus Sumatra )
