Susanne
Hunter :
Heritage Culture, Environment, Children,
Food...
I
love children. Since my first visit to Bali
in year 1992 together with my husband and
my three children, I have dedicated my life
to help children in Bali. I always
come to Bali twice a year with my friends
for giving something to the children in
Bali. They need good education for a good
future.”, said Suzanne Hunter.
Susanne Hunter (seen in the picture, she
stands in the middle), is one of Bali’s
repeater guests and always stays at Bali
Rani Hotel during her visits. She prefers
the Hotel ambience and friendly staff.
Susanne Hunter and her friends are very
generous people since they have a good attention
to social life of the unfortunate children.
In her opinion, Bali is a very nice island
and she hopes that Bali will be always peaceful
and beautiful. Bali has many things that
need to be maintained and developed such
as Heritage Culture, Environment, Children,
Food...Talking about food: she loves “nasi
goreng”, it is very delicious.
She promotes Bali to her friends in Perth,
Australia, by telling that Bali is
still the best place for holidays. (BTN/*)
Mr.
& Mrs. Keus
“This is our second home”
This
Dutch couple confessed that Bali constituted
as their second home. “Bali is our
second home,” they explained. According
to Mrs. Keus, her husband and she have made
Bali the mooring of their heart, notably
Sanur (Inna Grand Bali Beach). “Every
time waking up in the morning, I open the
window of our room while observing the ocean
view as well as make prayers to God. Thanks
God, you have showed me a place that is
so beautiful”.
According to the couple, having a hobby
in golfing, they were true-blue visitor
of this Island of Thousand Temples. “We
have come to Bali for nine times and travelled
all over the island,” added Mrs. Keus.
More than that, this shorthaired woman also
acknowledged that she favours Indonesian
food. “I like fried rice, so when
I missed this food I would prepare it at
home and it could make me feel as if I were
in Bali”.
They also have intense concern with the
local community of Bali. Often she collected
charity funds in Holland to assist children
at the orphanage. Even through golf she
could amass some funds to be donated. “We
over and over again visit them and bring
them some books, school stationery and several
small gifts,” told the couple having

Cisca Bastiaans
“Wishes to Stay Longer”
To
this Dutch Lady Cisca Bastiaans, the allure
of Bali as a tourist destination is so enchanting.
According to her, Bali is a paradise island
that is forever and ever interesting to
visit. Since her first arrival in 2004,
she has travelled to Bali for six times.
“I like to spend my holidays in Bali
as it’s so relaxing, secure and its
people are so friendly. Additionally, there
are many excellent hotels and restaurants
here. That’s why I am very delighted
and always want to come here again and again,”
said Cisca to Bali Travel News on being
visited at her hotel, the Kuta Beach Club
Hotel, Kuta not so long ago.
Afterwards, this repeater guest of Kuta
Beach Club Hotel feels optimistic that the
image of Bali as one of the best world tourist
destinations will be getting better. This
condition is propped up by somewhat good
security level. “I like to see that
security officers are in charge everywhere.
Security check for every guest entering
and leaving the hotel is excellent as well.
This makes me feel so secure and convenient
to holiday in Bali,” Cisca said.
According to her, the increasingly better
image of Bali tourism has obtained positive
reactions in Holland. Unfortunately, it
is not underpinned by sufficient flight
facility. Frequency of flight services from
Holland to Bali is assumed insufficient.
Therefore, it’s difficult to obtain
a ticket. “If planning to travel to
Bali in November, I should make a ticket
reservation in March. Supposed that the
flight frequency to Bali had been increased,
there would have been more Dutch people
spending their holiday in Bali,” commented
this officer pensioner of the ABN-Amro Bank,
Amsterdam.
As a pensioner, Cisca spent some of her
time in Bali, particularly during the winter
in her home country. She confessed to come
to Bali twice a year and stay during four
months for several times. Her arrival in
Bali is both intended for holiday and for
social activities like helping the indigent
children through the Elisama Social Foundation
and Orphanage at Sesetan, Denpasar.
“Indeed, I wish to stay here longer,
but my intention finds a difficulty in the
immigration procedures, that in my mind,
is unduly complicated. If such procedures
were easy and quick, there would be more
Dutch people holidaying and staying in Bali.
As a consequence, their spending money here
would be moderately high and assuredly resulted
in positive impact towards the cycle of
economy of the Balinese people,” commented
the woman whose e-mail address at: ciscabastiaans3@hotmail.com.
