18th Anniversary

— Discovery Kartika Plaza
Hotel & Villas celebrated its
18th Anniversary on Saturday (5/4)
in the hotel’s Kharisma Ballroom.
The celebration was officially opened
by having all Department Heads entering
the ballroom with the traditional
‘Nasi Tumpeng’, led
by 4 beautiful Balinese dancers,
followed by the cutting of the Nasi
Tumpeng by Mr Urs Klee. On this
memorable evening, there was an
announcement of the Employee of
the Year award, which went to Ms.
Ni Made Dwi Ariadi from Sales &
Marketing Department. Discovery
Kartika Plaza Hotel has been established
for 18 years and now has a total
of 318 rooms, including villas.
The hotel had several recent upgrades
and renovations of its room facilities.
The hotel is located on the beachfront

Anniversary Blood Donations

BENOA — To celebrate Bali Tropic
Resort & Spa’s 18th Anniversary,
the committee arranged social and
sport activities, entertainment, etc.
One of the social activities was blood
donations. The committee worked together
with Red Cross Indonesia for this
purpose. Blood donations were given
at Bali Tropic Resort & Spa. Shown

Committee of the THK Awards 2008
 DENPASAR—A
cheerful and brotherly ambience
was evident at the meeting organized
by the Association of THK Awards
Performer and Observer at the Ksirarnawa
Building, Art Center, Denpasar recently.
The meeting, attended by the Chairman
of THK Awards Organizer, B. Ashrama,
yielded 2 decisions. Firstly, deciding
on the Bali Art Center as the venue
for the presentation ceremony of
the THK Awards 2008 and three years
later; secondly, the appointment
of Ni Luh Putu Sukma Awantari (Sofitel
Seminyak Bali) as the head of committee
of the Awards Presentation. On that
occasion the committee also carried
out dismissal of the THK Awards

a new member of the Russian Guest
Relations Service and is proud to
announce the appointment of Ms. Alexa
Svetlana Nicolae. Alexa, born in Copanca,
Republic of Moldova, graduated from
The State University of Moldova, major
ing in foreign languages but specifically
in English Literature. She has been
working since 1996 in several schools
and hotels. With her vast experience
and her advanced language skills,
she will be a very valuable addition
to the staff of Discovery Kartika
Plaza Hotel; especially in increasing
the number of Russian guests to the
