Fried Ice Cream at Inna Bali

Fried Ice Cream at Inna BaliWhen hearing the word ice cream, our mind will lead directly to cold taste and tender texture. However, the ice cream offered at restaurant of the Inna Bali Denpasar is different. It tastes soft and tasty as well as be served in a special way. The menu is known as fried ice cream. The fried ice cream is one of the typical snacks at the restaurant other than French fries, cheese fried banana, crispy fried banana and assorted other snacks. “The fried ice cream is a new food product here. The menu is best suited eaten while relaxing or watching television, swimming, chatting and appropriately eaten after having meal,” said Chef Nyoman Gede Semara.

The fried ice cream, he said, was made from the batter of fried banana, coarse flour, wheat flour, vanilla ice cream and strawberry ice cream. “Vanilla and strawberry ice cream are blended and rounded with the size of approximately larger than a golf ball. The ice cream mixture is then stored in the freezer for 24 hours until completely frozen,” he explained. When it had been frozen, he added, the ice cream was scrolled in the flour, then fried dip in the batter of fried banana. After that, the ice cream was scrolled again in the coarse flour until being smooth. Then, the ice cream was wrapped by using aluminum foil and frozen again in the freezer. Ultimately, the ice cream was opened from the aluminum foil wrap and cooked until looking brownish, drained and halved. After that, the ice cream was ready to serve. Semara conveyed the fried ice cream at the Inna Bali was served on a white plate, with additional strawberries, strawberry sauce and rolled stick. “In addition to the fried ice cream, there is also a new herbal drink known as beras kencur made from aromatic ginger and rice that is good for health,” he added.
