Based on the name, people will guess that Gaya Ristorante and Café is an Italian Restaurant. “Our concept is indeed Italian Restaurant but because our repeater guests also like to taste other food so we also serve Western and Asian food,” said the Assistant Director of the restaurant, Desak Adi Darmayanti.
She explained that there are several menus which are highly demanded by the customers. The first one is eggplant ravioli. It is filled with goat cheese caramel and served with Tuscan tomato sauce. The next one is Spaghetti ala Carbonara and Linguine with Basil Pesto, Potato, and Long Bean.
“Many of our customers looking for those kinds of foods because they like the original taste in our restaurant,” added Desak.
The restaurant also has several dessert requested by the guests such as Strawberry Yogurt Gelato and Fresh Exotic Seasonal Fruits which contain of various fruit from Bali. Desak explained that the restaurant is targeting for middle up guests so the food price is ranging from 35,000 rupiah through 195,000 rupiah.
“We are also working with travel agents to attract more guests and we are aiming for all market so it means that anyone will enjoy the food in our restaurant,” she added.
Desak explained that the head kitchen of the restaurant which is located in Ubud is two Balinese, Nyoman Puja and Ketut Sadia. However, they received training from the owner of the restaurant which is an Italian. For the Western and Asian food is created directly created by the head kitchen. Gaya Restorante and Café will give am exquisite dine experience.
