Conveniently located in Sanur tourism area, the Shankara Resto & Bar comes with a wide variety of special food & beverages. Building of the restaurant comes in two floors where each has capacity of fifty people. Courtyard of the restaurant is quite spacious to accommodate a few tables for dinner, private room and coffee shop. Located at Jalan Danau Toba 7 Sanur, the new restaurant that had made its soft opening on February 14 is offering Western, Asian and Indonesian food, especially Balinese food. The menus on offer are ranging from appetizer, main dishes, dessert and vegetarian lover.
Restaurant Manager, Carolina, said the concept of the restaurant was the One Stop Dining & Entertainment in Bali. In other words, it did not only offer pastry, food & beverage but also live entertainment. “The name of restaurant itself is derived from Sanskrit word which means prosperity. Our goal is for the welfare of all walks of life such as guests and employees,” she said.
For food and beverage, she continued, her party got a plenty ranging from main dishes such as the best-selling Balinese Crested Duck, Crispy Fried Chicken, Oxtail Soup, Salted Egg Crab, Beef Steak, Parmesan Chicken, Steamed Fish, Shankara Fish Fillet, Steamed Chicken, Soy Sauce Pork and Pork Ribs Barbeque. “We also have a menu for vegetarian lovers like Vegetarian Mixed Rice, Pineapple Fried Rice with Raisin and Capsicum, Polenta Cheese Cake with Tomato Sauce and Tomato Ratatouille on Garlic Basil Pasta,” she explained.
The appetizers provided, said Carolina, were inseparable from traditional elements like Serombotan, Gado-Gado, Tuna with Torch Ginger Condiment, Shredded Chicken with Raw Condiment, Shankara Shrimp, Shankara Style Seafood Soup, Creamed Pumpkin Soup, Fresh Tomato Salad, Caesar Salad and Chicken Undis Soup.
“Meanwhile, for dessert, we provide assorted fresh fruit slices, cheese fried banana, sweet potato compote and pandan pudding. Equally interesting, we here also offer pizza in combination with Balinese ingredients such as the Rendang Pizza, Luh Sanur Pizza, Margaretha Pizza, Shankara Seafood Pizza, Shankara Fruit Pizza, Raw Condiment and Sere Tabia Pizza,” she explained. The live entertainment is presented interestingly for guests such as the cultural dance and live music entertainment every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Salsa dance and music every Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
“Shankara Resto & Bar is open from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Prices of the menus are competitive, hygiene and cheaper without tax. It is very suitable for foreign and domestic travelers.
