A lecturer of Faculty of the Arts and Design, I Wayan Sujana, was entrusted to teach the arts in the University of Western Australia (UWA), Perth, Australia. Other than giving general lectures on the arts, the man from Klungkung also gave seminars, workshops and exhibition of the works. “I will attend the event over the past two weeks (Sept 24-Oct 5),” he said.

The ISACFA Cultural Exchange and Artists Residence program filled with general lecture and workshop will be held at the UWA campus. Meanwhile, the exhibition will be held at Cullity Gallery, Perth. “This exhibition will also include the works of art by 40 lecturers from the Faculty of the Arts and Design,” he added.

The Rector of ISI Denpasar, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Rai S positively responded to the activity. Even, he highly appreciated and gave full support to the continuity of cooperation between the two institutions of higher education. Prof. Rai said the partnership with the UWA indirectly opened the opportunities for cooperation with other universities in Australia.

“Edith Cowen University (ECU) has asked the ISI Denpasar to participate in the exhibition of textiles as well as to introduce the program of the newly opened Fashion Design study program,” he said.

For information, previously three lecturers from the same faculty had given lectures at the UWA. All the three gave general lectures, seminars, workshops and exhibition of the works. They consisted of Ni Made Rinu, I Made Bendi Yudha, and I Komang Arba Wirawan. (BTN/015)
