Healthy Lifestyle for Better Health

11th Pocari Sweat Conference 2014Doing exercise regularly will give many benefit for us such as increasing our health, reduce the possibility of chronic and degenerative diseases which the most common cause of death.  “Currently, the awareness of the people on healthy lifestyle is increasing but only a few of them who make exercise as their daily activities. Actually, the physical activity is one of the form of healthy lifestyle,” said Prayugo Gunawan, the President Director of PT. Amerta Indah Otsuka during the Opening of 11th Pocari Sweat Conference 2014  in Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel on Saturday, May 5.     

The Pocari Sweat Conference is an annual event which is held by PT. Amerta Indah Otsuka as the company commitment to share the tips and information regarding health and the product to the customer. There is great hope that it will give the understanding to the people about the importance of physical activity to keep our body healthy.

“We also want to motivate other to do a healthy lifestyle. There are more than 250 people attended the event,” said Widya Palupi, the Head of Scientific and Customer Care of PT. Amerta Indah Otsuka.  In the conference, Dr Sophie Yolanda. Mboimed who become one of the speakers emphasizes on the importance of physical activities.

“Basically, sport can be divided into two, long term aerobic and short term. Each has different purpose based on the goal,” said Dr. Shopie.  She also added that the intensity of the sport must be adjusted with age and health condition but actually, doing sport less than 30 minutes has small effect but doing it more than 1 hour will increase the risk of injuries.   

“There are few things that need to be considered when doing exercise one of them is the body liquid. It is very important so when doing exercise, we will not get dehydrated. So, the people must be inform on how to get the best out of an exercise,” Shopie said.  
She also share some tips on how to do sport correctly such as how to prevent dehydration so the body will not suffer from dizziness, nausea and even heatstroke. It can be prevented by drinking before and during exercise. The correct nutrition, food and beverages also play important role in the exercise.  

“By doing exercise regularly, we will get many benefits such as a healthy lifestyle, improving our physical appearance, refreshing, help in our business and increase our motivation,” said Shopie. There is grteat hope that the Pocari Sweat Conference 2014   can give better understanding to the society on the benefit of physical activities in improving our health.(BTN/014)
