The rapid development of tourism facilities as well as housing makes the extensive green and productive paddy fields dwindle. That is why many people expect the government, relevant components and Balinese people to find out a solution and strategy to overcome it. This problem raised in a discussion entitled “Strategy to Save Paddy Field in Bali” held in the Shankara Resto, Sanur, Tuesday (Mar 18). The speaker was Chairperson of the Bali Organic Association (BOA) Dr. Ni Luh Kartini and Phyllis Kaplan from Sawah Bali Foundation.
Meanwhile, a number of leaders participated in the discussion guided by General Manager of Bali Travel News Gde Palgunadi. The leaders included the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University Prof. Rai, the Dean of Faculty of Economics Undiknas University Prof. IB Raka Suardana, tourism player Bagus Sudibya, the Head of Badung Forestry and Plantation Agency Sudaratmaja and others.
