I Gusti Hery Angligan. Balinese People Counted On

I Gusti Hery Angligan. Balinese People Counted OnThe dynamics of social, political, economic and cultural development in the country begin to result in new figures beyond Javanese, Sundanese, Batak and Bugis ethnic. One of them is the appearance of Balinese ethnic coming to view in national stage and considered as a figure with quite qualified capacity to speak at national level.

It was revealed by a tourism observer, I Gusti Hery Angligan, to Bali Travel News recently. Hery, as he is familiarly greeted, formerly filled the position of Director of PT Hotel Indonesia Natour cited some examples. They started from Prof. Mantra, IB Sujana and IB Oka to Gde Ardika. By all means, it also included the one who was giving a mandate in the cabinet of President Yudhoyono, namely Jero Wacik. By all means, there were more young politicians whose capability was taken into account in central government.

Instead, Jero Wacik, said this man from Tabanan, was one of the influential figures at the national level according to Globe Asia magazine.

“As a Balinese, we would be proud regardless the problems accompanying them,” he said. More importantly, as Balinese, although we are quantitatively minority but do not be mistaken, we can show off that we were capable in terms of quality,” he said.

This would become an example for everyone in order we were having much confidence in gracing the development in all areas in the country. Other than tourism, on the other hand, some of these names had been nationally recognized and it gave us responsibilities and crack of vivacity to further improve the quality.

“Now, they have reached at ministerial level, so that it is not impossible if one day the confidence rose to vice president,” he said confidently. (BTN/pal)
