Inna Sindhu Beach Hotel is not only as a place to stay but also to learn. The place and the atmosphere are supportive so the teaching and learning activities can take place enjoyably. “I and the management are proud because the Inna Sindhu Beach is chosen for study by foreign students. Of course, I will personally continue to support,” said General Manager, Maryanto.
Maryanto conveyed that location of his hotel was strategic. In addition to dealing directly with the Sanur Beach, tourists could also enjoy the sunrise view every day. “Foreign students love the beautiful learning atmosphere. It is quiet and has a traditional impression. Therefore, we will continue to improve the quality,” said the man who likes cycling and yoga.
Learning activities undertaken by foreign students at this hotel varied, ranging from sport activities such as karate, martial arts, swimming, outbound to food research. The facilities they use here were pool, yard, location of beach volleyball, restaurant and some rooms to learn theory.
“Those who come are usually from the United States, Norway, the Netherlands and Australia with a group of 20 to 30 students. Their activities are also pretty long on average of three months. Here, I invite all the staff to give a good impression for example, by showing hospitality, smiles and offering assistance,” he explained.
In addition, explained Maryanto, the hotel was also used for learning Balinese dance. “This time, there are 30 students from the United States who learn to dance. Even, they had to make performance here. In addition, there were also students majoring in hospitality from New Zealand who visited and surveyed our restaurant. Many of them heard that the restaurants in Bali were rich in spice and flavor,” he said.
Other than being used for learning, he said, it could also be used for weddings, meetings and yoga. For yoga, it was usually held from Monday to Saturday from 7:30 to 9:00. All participants were hotel guests, staff and the communities around the hotel were allowed to participate. “Their response during learning here is good. Moreover, they also care for others such as making a visit to orphanages, nursing homes and give donations,” he said.
“I am pleased and proud to Inna Sindhu because it is one of the hotels chosen by foreign students as a place to learn and practice. Of course, this will become the market prospects that can be developed because more and more guests and foreign students come here. Moreover, we have more customers while becoming family and friends,” he added. (BTN/ocha)
