Ni Made Rostini. Promotion through Human Resources Development

Promotion through Human Resources DevelopmentCheap tourist promotion can be done by increasing the quality of human resources. “It can be undertaken by providing guidance and training to people getting involved in tourism services,” said the Section Head of Human Resources Development, Badung Government Tourism Office, Ni Made Rostini, in the sidelines of training provided for local tour guides, recently.

Knowledge and techniques regarding services to tourists were very important, primarily the attitude and ethics in providing information. Besides, it should also cover the subject on Balinese culture because the concept of Bali tourism was based on cultural tourism. Moreover, they were tour guides. “This training is very important so that it can broaden the horizon,” he said.

By understanding tourism and culture, tour guides would be able to provide good and correct information to tourists. So, they would not be talking nonsense. “Training can enhance the imaging of Badung as a tourist destination as well as maintain the quality of tourism we sell,” she concluded. (BTN/015)
