The sky of Legian Beach looked so lively. Various types of aero sports like paragliding, paramotor, parachuting, hang gliding, aeromodeling to ultra light were flying around with a variety of attractions. They became interesting spectacles for visitors, especially foreign travelers.
It was the atmosphere of Bali Aero Sport Festival (BASF) taking place on Legian Beach, Kuta on February 21-23, 2014. The event held by the Executive Board of the Indonesian Aerosport Federation (PB FASI) involved some 100 participants consisting of 25 pilots of Indonesian paragliding, 40 pilots of Indonesian paramotor, 20 Indonesian skydivers, 2 pilots of ultra-light and 5 pilots of aeromodeling.
The Indonesian Aerosport Federation brought in 4 European paragliders, 6 Thailand pilots of paramotor and one pilot of glider from Australia. “This event is the first of its kind in Indonesia. On that account, we invite both domestic and foreign athletes,” said Adi Dirhamsyah, Chairman of the BASF Organizing Committee in the press conference at the Grand Istana Rama Kuta. According to him, such an activity was held to tighten the relationship between the aero sport athletes, both the domestic and foreign who took part in the event. (BTN/015)
