For three days, the water park in the heart of Kuta provided entertainment for visitors who were mostly from local community. “We are with the people celebrating the Chinese New Year by presenting Barong Sai,” said Sales and Marketing Manager, Linda. The second appearance of the barong sai belonging to Chinese community thoroughly provided fresh entertainment. Aside from enjoying a variety of games, visitors could also see the capability of Chinese-descendant community who played acrobatic show. The lion Barong Sai was danced on the wooden beam and table. Sometimes, it winked its eyes while dancing and approached visitors.

There were two groups making Barong Sai performance with its own uniqueness. On Saturday (Feb 1), it featured the Barong Sai in collaboration with acrobatic show. Meanwhile, on Sunday (Feb 2) the Mutiara Naga Barong Sai of Tanah Kilap Temple made performance in combination with the amazing wushu martial art. Besides, the session was also jazzed up with the show of magician that could entertain the visitors.

On the Chinese New Year was also presented a tree bearing fruits in the form of angpao gift. Then, it was resumed with talent shows like Mandarin singing, dancing, wushu, organ music, and fashion show of Chinese special attires. The participants making appearance on stage were specially brought in from elementary school children in Bali. “We also invited school children to participate in various Chinese cultural displays,” she added.

Linda added that to provide comfort for travelers, her party always presented entertainment apart from many kinds of games. Every feast day was always graced with traditional and modern entertainment. “We also feature the bleganjur gamelan music and drum band.  Music and song performance is made every Saturday and Sunday,” she explained.

According to Linda, the art presentation was very helpful to draw more visitors. Especially for the Chinese New Year holiday, said Linda, visitors to Circus Waterpark were booming. During three days, the average visit reached 1,500 people each day. Meanwhile, on usual days, the number of visit only reached 300 people. “The composition is almost equal between the domestic and foreign travelers,” she said.
