Thousands Crowd Bali Safari  Marine Park for Bali Marathon 2013The largest International Event of the year involving more than 3000 runners from all around the world  took part. For the second time in a row, Bali Safari & Marine Park became the host of a very special event, BII Maybank Bali Marathon 2013. The 42.195-km marathon race held on 16 June 2013 and is opened for public. Included in the event is the half-marathon race covering a distance of 21.0975 kilometers, 10 kilometers and Children sprint.

Bali Safari & Marine Park as the Race Central becomes the start and finish point for 4 different race categories. The race started in Gianyar and participants run across a route certified by the International Certificate. More than 5.000 runners and supporters of this international running championship had been at Race Central Bali Safari & Marine Park since 4 am. In this occasion the General Manager of Bali Safari & Marine Park, Hans Manansang also participated in the 10 K category with some Bali Safari & Marine Park staffs.

Last year's champion from Kenya, Lilan Kennedy Kipro, again won the full marathon category, with a time record of 2 hours, 18 minutes and 51 seconds and has the right to receive a prize of USD 17,500 which is given directly in the award ceremony at Race Central, Bali Safari & Marine Park, Gianyar. The full marathon champion for women's category is achieved by Megeret Megestu from Ethiopia.(BTN/015)
