Triathlon Becomes a Tourist AttractionMore than 12,000 national and international athletes enlivened the Triathlon sport event. It was a prestigious annual event requiring the athletes to have a prime stamina and capability in various sports. The participants should not only be able to swim, but should also ride a bike and ran.

Nevertheless, this challenging sport was in great demand by the athletes, especially the adventurous ones. For this event, each participant should cover a far enough distance from Nusa Dua to Jimbaran. The Regent of Badung, AA Gde Agung, released the participants on Jimbaran Beach, South Kuta, Sunday (Jun 23).



The Regent Gde Agung said the triathlon had become a part of the world sporting calendar for the athletes looking for a challenge. According to him, the activity also became a part and color of the tourist attractions in Badung and Bali through sport event. “This competition is a part of tourism and can become an attraction for the athletes of the world and foreign tourists to visit Badung and Bali,” said Gde Agung.
