Denpasar is the capital of the province of Bali, and the current mayor is Drs. Anak Agung Ngurah Puspayoga. The city has a range of attractions, including plenty of old buildings with typical Balinese architecture. The local government offers a tour of the city in which tourists can see and learn about some of these attractions. The city tour starts with Wisata Puri such as Pamecutan, Jro Kuta, Putri Satria and Kesiman, and then goes to Wisata Pura (including both older and newer temples)and museums such as Bali museum, Lukis Sidik Jari museum, Le Mayur museum and the Archeology Museum in Sesetan. Tourists can visit some modern shopping centres and also some traditional markets such as Kumbasari market and Badung market, which is located near Badung river. In addition, tourists can also see the bird market, Satria Market and Kereneng market.
