Many Indonesian cultures, including that of Balinese, rejoice in a variety of servings made from bean sprouts salads. It is a very versatile ingredient as it can be served with different sauces like clear soup, assorted salads (serombotan), the one with peanut sauce and so forth. Here is another simpler Balinese salad using this in combination with spinach served in grated coconut sauce. This kind of salad is often used to accompany mixed rice.
Ingredients: 200g of bean sprouts, 1 string of spinach, 1 tbsp fried shallot, 1 tsp fried red chili Ground spices: 1 slice turmeric, 1 slice kencur, 3 cloves shallot, 2 cloves garlic, 1 small chili, 1 pc candlenut, 1 tbsp cooking oil and ½ tsp salt.

Ketut Gede Dharma Putra: To Worry About Pollution at Benoa Cope Area

Proud and delighted feeling was perceived by Ketut Gede Dharma Putra. The reason is that this member of Tri Hita Karana team in charge in environmental aspect has just received doctorate degree with very satisfying predicate. The man who has basic science in chemical studies and works as lecturer at Udayana University delivered the result of his research clearly and firmly in front of panelists and invitees.
In the open dissertation examination, Saturday (11/7) at the Postgraduate Program Hall of Udayana University Denpasar, the man of Gianyar-born, 7 October 1960 took the title “Environmental Pollution at the Area of Benoa Cope, Bali: Cultural Studies Perspective.”

In the past time, palm leaf manuscripts functioned like a book used by Balinese community to record every event and immortalize literary works. On the palm leaf is inscribed any proceedings so that they can be learned by the following generations.
Up to these moments, those manuscripts are kept securely in the library or museum. Lately, the palm leaves were widely used to make a variety of handicrafts for interior decoration. Here are some examples of handicraft made from palm leaf by Nyoman Anadiani from Mekar Buana Village, Sigaran, Badung: (1) Cane or peacock-like flower arrangement, (2) Coconut tree for tabletop vase, (3) flower vase for room ornament, and (4) sampian Gebogan used for ornament of penjor.

Simple, Unique & Friendly Harris Riverview Kuta
KUTA—‘Simple, unique and friendly’ are the catchphrase carried by Harris Riverview Kuta, one of tourist accommodations on offer by Harris Hotel in Bali. General Manager of Harris Riverview Kuta, Sebastien Menesguen, in the press conference among the Grand Opening Ceremony said that Harris Riverview offered different accommodation from other hotels. The concept “Simple, Unique and Friendly” became the prominent thing provided to guests so that they could feel convenient during the stay at hotel.
